Sarasota County burn ban remains in effect

SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. — Wildfires can be caused by a spark in dry vegetation and oxygen, Sarasota County Emergency Services said in a report. Strong winds, low humidity and drought conditions can further impact a fire’s spread, the agency said.

A burn ban is still in effect in Sarasota County to help prevent wildfires.
