Sarasota County to host Community Conversations: Hurricane Preparedness

Sarasota County Emergency Services says hurricane season begins June 1. Officials will host Community Conversations: Hurricane Preparedness in partnership with the NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center, the Florida Division of Emergency Management and Sarasota County Emergency Management officials. The event encourages residents to start preparations, with county departments, municipalities and environmental experts available to answer questions.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at Riverview High School, 1 Ram Way, Sarasota. The event is free. Register now through Eventbrite at bit.ly/3RbMCck. Questions for event panelists will be collected as part of the registration process, and attendees can submit questions at bit.ly/CCPanelQuestions.
