**I-49 Through Alexandria Reopened After Temporary Closure Due to Overturned Tractor-Trailer**

Alexandria, Louisiana – The northbound lanes of Interstate 49 through Alexandria have reopened as of February 21, 2025, at 3:15 PM.

Earlier today, both the northbound and southbound lanes of I-49 were temporarily closed due to an overturned tractor-trailer. The Alexandria Police Department had advised motorists to use alternate routes while crews worked to clear the scene.

Drivers can check real-time road updates using the Louisiana 511 mobile app or by visiting the 511 Traveler Information website at www.511la.org.
