Scranton Prep students travel to L.A. for service trip

SCRANTON, Pa. — A group of Scranton Prep students and faculty traveled to Los Angeles over Spring Break for a service trip.

During their trip, they visited Homeboy Industries Youth Re-entry Center, Adult Center, and Art Academy, along with The Alexandria House, Guadalupe Homeless Project, The Midnight Mission, and Dolores Mission Church.

The experience held special significance following Fr. Greg Boyle’s (Founder of Homeboy Industries) visit to Prep earlier this year.

While on their trip, students prepared meals for those in need, connected with Homeboy trainees and students, participated in classes, and assisted with donations at Dolores Mission.

Through these moments, they witnessed firsthand the impact of community and second chances.
