**San Diego Regional Economic Partnership Reflects on 2024 Accomplishments and Sets Sights on 2025 Goals**

San Diego, CA — The San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has released a summary of its 2024 initiatives, showcasing achievements that fostered job growth, talent development, and regional economic competitiveness through extensive collaboration.

In partnership with over 150 investors, partners, and local leaders, the EDC conducted a range of activities aimed at strengthening the local economy. The highlights included:

- **Annual Dinner at Petco Park:** More than 900 San Diego leaders gathered to celebrate contributions to the region's progress. Solar Turbines and Retired Vice Admiral Jim Zortman were honored for their impactful work.

- **Trade Mission to Singapore:** A delegation of 40 individuals, including Representative Scott Peters and Councilmember Raul Campillo, traveled to Singapore to promote foreign investment opportunities and job growth for the local economy.

- **Leadership Trip to San Jose:** To learn from the successes and challenges of another vibrant region, over 30 delegates engaged with Bay Area leaders and innovators.

- **Workforce Development Support:** The EDC assisted local employers in connecting with top talent through computing, engineering, and business training programs designed to meet the demands of the region's evolving workforce.

- **Manufacturing Report Released:** The organization quantified the manufacturing sector's economic impact, revealing a $47 billion contribution to the regional economy.

- **Summer Bash Celebrations:** An event co-hosted with Alexandria Real Estate Equities and NOVO Brazil Brewing Co. brought together over 400 attendees, with keynote speaker Aleksandra Rizo, PhD, CEO of Vividion Therapeutics, highlighting San Diego's innovation sector.
