**Alexandria Police Department Announces Promotions and Recruitment Initiatives**

The Alexandria Police Department (APD) in Alexandria, Louisiana, has announced the promotion of two officers. Officer Mark Tigner has been promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, while Officer Michael Boone has advanced to the rank of Sergeant. These promotions highlight the officers' dedication, leadership, and years of service to both the department and the community.

Lieutenant Mark Tigner has demonstrated strong leadership and a commitment to public safety throughout his career with the department. Meanwhile, Sergeant Michael Boone, a veteran K-9 handler, has played a key role in fostering positive relationships within the community and maintaining APD’s mission to protect and serve.

Chief Chad Gremillion shared his pride in the officers' achievements, stating, "Both Mark Tigner and Michael Boone have consistently gone above and beyond in their service to the City of Alexandria. As we continue to grow our department, we are committed to recognizing talent within our ranks and ensuring the safety and well-being of our community."

Alongside these promotions, APD is also seeking to expand its team and is actively recruiting Peace Officer Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) certified officers. The department is offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a starting salary of over $48,000. APD is looking for candidates who uphold the department's values of integrity, professionalism, and service excellence.
