**City of Alexandria Announces New Year Holiday Schedule Changes**

The City of Alexandria, Louisiana, has announced changes to office hours, sanitation services, and bus schedules in observance of the New Year holiday. Full details are as follows:

**City Office Closures**

City offices, including City Hall, Customer Service, the Animal Shelter, Public Works, and other departments, will be closed starting Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Offices will remain closed through Wednesday, January 1, 2025, and reopen on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

**ATRANS Bus Schedule**

- **Wednesday, January 1 (New Year’s Day):** No bus service will run.

- **Thursday, January 2:** Regular bus services will resume.

**Trash Collection Schedule**

- **Monday, December 30:** Regular trash pickup will take place. Dumpsters must be set out by the end of the business day.

- **Tuesday, December 31:** No trash pickup.

- **Wednesday, January 1 (New Year’s Day):** No trash pickup in observance of the holiday.

- **Thursday, January 2:** Regular trash pickups will resume, and dumpsters will be removed.

Additionally, trailers will be placed on Monday evening, December 30, and will remain available until the morning of Thursday, January 2.
