**Arrest Made Following Threats to Department of Labor in Buffalo**
BUFFALO, NY – The Buffalo Police Department (BPD) has announced the arrest of a suspect following a threatening voicemail left for the Department of Labor office located on the 200 block of Main Street. The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, prompting an immediate investigation.
Detectives from the department's Threat Management Unit acted quickly upon being alerted to the voicemail, successfully identifying and apprehending the suspect. A Temporary Extreme Risk Protection Order (TERPO) was also filed as part of the case.
The individual taken into custody has been identified as Alexandria St John, 37, of Buffalo. St John has been charged with one count of Making a Terroristic Threat under New York State Penal Law 490.20-1, which is classified as a class D felony.
