Groundbreaking Ceremonies Held for New District 62 Schools

On a rainy day in Alexandria, Louisiana, the Rapides Parish School Board held four groundbreaking ceremonies for schools in District 62. The ceremonies took place at Arthur F. Smith Middle Magnet, Horseshoe Drive Elementary, Alexandria Senior High, and L.S. Rugg Elementary.
Community members, students, and teachers were in attendance, showing their enthusiasm for the new construction projects. The school board expressed gratitude to the community for passing a bond that will fund these much-needed improvements. Progress photos of the construction are expected to be shared over the coming months.
