The County of San Diego Parks and Recreation department is promoting activities for National Stress Awareness Day on November 6. Residents are encouraged to exchange stress for smiles by participating in various events held in local parks.

On Saturday, November 9, the schedule includes:

- A Warrior Hike Challenge at El Capitan at 7 a.m.

- Yoga session at Los Penasquitos Ranch House at 8 a.m.

- Docent-led tours at Los Penasquitos Ranch House at 11 a.m.

- A Junior Rangers program focused on studying leaves and trees at Potrero County Park at 2 p.m.

- A Star Party at Oakoasis at 5 p.m.

On Sunday, November 10, the activities are as follows:

- A Native Plants Ranger-led hike at San Dieguito at 9:30 a.m.

- Nature Meditation and Qi Gong at San Dieguito at 10 a.m.

- Docent-led tours at Rancho Guajome Adobe at 12 p.m.

- Docent-led tours at Los Penasquitos Ranch House at 1 p.m.
