Pull Over for Emergency Vehicles: Stay Safe!
Staff Report / MeridianLocal.org
Meridian Fire Department is reminding residents to pull over when they see emergency vehicles with lights and sirens activated.
Drivers are advised to move to the right side of the road to clear a path for these vehicles. On multi-lane one-way roads, such as Meridian Road in Downtown, drivers should move away from the center lane. If a driver is in a turn lane, they should remain in place until the emergency crews have passed.
The department emphasizes this guidance for the safety of both drivers and emergency personnel.
