School board meeting in Alexandria announces new leadership appointments

At the latest Rapides Parish School Board meeting in Alexandria, several school and district leaders were recognized for their new appointments for the 2024-2025 school year. Dr. Laquanta Jones is now the Deputy Assistant Superintendent of School Improvement and Collaboration.

Various Director positions were filled, including Mrs. Kerri Nichols as Director of Assessment and Accountability of Student Learning, Mr. Terrence Williams as Director of Child Welfare and Attendance, Mrs. Mollie Fontenot as Acting Director of Middle School, Magnet, and Montessori Programs, and Mr. Alan Lacombe as Director of Well Rounded Education.

Principal positions were also announced, including Mrs. Shannon Carmouche at Alexandria Middle Magnet, Mrs. Karen Berlin at Mabel Brasher, Mrs. Tera Laprarie at Ruby Wise, Mr. Sons Pathoumthong at Scott Brame Middle School, and Mr. David Montiel at Tioga Junior High.

Mrs. Carrol Babb is the Head Start Site Administrator at McKeithen Head Start.

Assistant Principal positions were appointed, with Mrs. Tyronnica Mingo and Mrs. Shaterrica Bradley at Alexandria Middle Magnet, Mr. Joshua Spikes at Alexandria Senior High, Mrs. Amber Baysden at D. F. Huddle, Mrs. Alexa Ashworth at Glenmora High School, Mrs. Jennifer Sikes at Hayden Lawrence, Mrs. Christina NesSmith at Mabel Brasher, Mrs. Jody Musco-White at Northwood High School, Mrs. Jasmine Belmon and Mrs. Charmelle Joffrion at Peabody Magnet High School, Mrs. Ramona Melder at Rosenthal Montessori, Mrs. Elizabeth Wiggins at Ruby Wise Elementary, Mr. Randal Smith at Tioga High School, and Mrs. Amy Christman at Tioga Junior High School.
