Lake Effect Snow Will Continue Today
The National Weather Service in Buffalo, NY, has issued a notice regarding weather conditions for Monday, December 2, 2024. Moderate to locally heavy lake effect snow is expected across the western Southern Tier through Tuesday, with significant additional accumulations likely. In addition, bands of light to moderate snow will continue to fall southeast of Lake Ontario.
During the day, there may also be a few light snow showers in other areas. Wintry weather conditions are projected to persist throughout the rest of the work week. The weather advisory is valid from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST today.
Temperatures are expected to remain low, contributing to the ongoing snowfall and icy conditions. Residents in affected areas are advised to exercise caution while traveling.
