Alexandria to Close for Veterans Day Observance

The City of Alexandria, Louisiana, will observe Veterans Day on Monday, November 11, 2024, by closing all city offices, including City Hall, Customer Service, the Animal Shelter, and Public Works.

On this day, the ATRANS bus service will not operate. Regular bus service will resume on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.

Additionally, there will be no trash collection on Veterans Day. Trash pickup for Monday's schedule will occur on Tuesday, November 12. Tuesday's pickup will take place on Wednesday, November 13, and regular trash pickup will resume on Thursday, November 14, continuing with the regular schedule on Friday, November 15.
