**SFPD Arrests Suspects in Fentanyl Trafficking Case**

San Francisco, CA – The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) Narcotics Unit has arrested three individuals in connection with a narcotics trafficking investigation involving suspected fentanyl sales in the Tenderloin District.

The investigation began over a month ago when officers identified a suspect believed to be selling narcotics. With probable cause, the SFPD obtained a search warrant for the suspect, his vehicle, and his residence in Oakland, California.

On November 5, 2024, around 9:30 p.m., officers observed the suspect leaving Oakland and arriving in San Francisco. He was detained on the 900 block of Market Street. A search of his person revealed he was in possession of suspected fentanyl and items related to drug dealing, which led to his arrest for narcotics trafficking.

Subsequently, SFPD Narcotics Unit executed the search warrant at a location on the 1100 block of 16th Street in Oakland. During the search, officers seized approximately 4.18 pounds of fentanyl, ammunition, US currency, and other drug trafficking paraphernalia.

The suspect from San Francisco has been identified as 20-year-old Marvin Izaguirre Varela. He has been booked into the San Francisco County Jail on charges including sales of controlled substances, possession for sale of fentanyl, transporting a controlled substance, maintaining a premises for narcotics manufacturing, and conspiracy.

Two additional suspects arrested during the operation in Oakland are 21-year-old Emilson Benega Ramos and 18-year-old Cesar Gutierrez Doblado. Both have been transported to Santa Rita Jail, where they were charged with possession for sale of fentanyl, maintaining a premises for narcotics manufacturing, and conspiracy.
