Zoo Boise has announced that the Virginia R. Bartak Red Panda Passage is set to open in 2025. This new habitat will accommodate multiple pairs of red pandas and their cubs, featuring a large indoor space and several outdoor yards. The installation of the indoor roof has been completed, and construction is progressing as planned for the grand opening. Zoo Boise encourages the public to learn more about how they can contribute to this project at zooboise.org/heart. Zoo Boise operates under the division of Boise Parks and Recreation.
