Coaches Clinic Empowers Atlanta’s Basketball Community
Staff Report / ATLlocal.org
In Atlanta, Georgia, over 200 local basketball coaches attended the 13th annual Coaches Clinic hosted by the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Academy and presented by the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. The event took place at the Emory Sports Medicine Complex.
Hawks Head Coach Quin Snyder and his assistant coaching staff led the clinic, which focused on providing coaches with insights and best practices aimed at improving their skills. The goal was to equip them with advanced tools and methods to enhance youth basketball in Georgia.
Snyder emphasized the importance of knowledge sharing, noting that effective coaching techniques can lead to better instruction and increased enthusiasm for basketball among young players in Atlanta. Kristin McEwen, chief experience officer of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, supported this view, stating that the partnership between the YMCA and the Hawks helps cultivate leadership and inspires aspiring athletes.
The clinic represents a significant educational opportunity for local coaches, contributing to the development of the coaching community and promoting growth in youth sports.
