Free Afterschool Programs Available for Kids 5-12

The City of Modesto’s Parks, Recreation & Neighborhoods Department is offering free afterschool programs for children ages 5 to 12 at the Neighborhood Center located at Marshall Park. The address is 420 Chicago Avenue, Building A.

The programs aim to provide a fun and safe environment for children to explore and engage in various activities. Options include joining the Junior Chef program, participating in arts and culture activities, sports, and other youth enrichment programs.

In addition, when scheduled programs are not in session, children can use the Rec Lounge for a supervised social hour or receive homework assistance during Power Hour.

The center operates from 2 PM to 7 PM on Mondays and Fridays and from 12 PM to 7 PM on Tuesdays through Thursdays. For more information, interested parties can call 209-577-5344.
