On June 30, 2024, around 1:15 PM, Palm Springs Police Department was notified of a possible gunshot victim near North Indian Canyon Drive and Garnet Ave. Upon arrival, officers discovered a white sedan at the intersection with two deceased males inside. Another deceased male with self-inflicted injuries was found just south of Interstate 10, near the Indian Canyon Drive overpass. The investigation is ongoing, and there is no indication of any outstanding suspects. The two scenes are believed to be connected.

Indian Canyon Drive south of Interstate 10 and the eastbound Interstate 10 offramp to Indian Canyon Drive are closed to traffic until further notice. The identities of the deceased individuals have not been released pending notification of their next of kin by the Riverside County Coroner's Office.
