Albany Int'l Airport receives Air Force jets for aviation training.

Albany International Airport in New York received three T-1A trainer jets donated by the United States Air Force. The aircraft will be used to train students in the Aeronautical Technology program at Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) Aeronautical Technology Institute located at the airport. New York State Office of General Services Commissioner Jeanette M. Moy, Albany International Airport officials, and HVCC AIT representatives were present during the arrival of the jets. Phil Calderone, CEO of Albany International Airport, expressed excitement over the collaboration, stating that the program will be beneficial for aspiring aviation mechanics. The initiative has received certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), showing signs of success. The partnership between Albany International Airport and HVCC aims to grow and provide opportunities for students in the aviation field.
